Tasks of exhibitions: assistance in the defence industry development, improvement of technical equipment of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, emergency response forces; promotion of Ukrainian military equipment, armaments and special purpose vehicles to the world market; development of international military-technical cooperation, improvement of equipment of private enterprises of the security sector.
The format of joint exhibitions «Arms and Security» and «Protection Technology/FireTech» facilitated their transformation into a large-scale international business-scientific forum that fully covers the entire complex of state security issues. Accordingly, the number of participants has increased – at the area of 25 thousand sq. m. almost 400 firms and organizations from 15 countries of the world will be presented. In pavilions and open spaces, more than 50 specimens of military and special equipment, floats and equipment for the weapon production will be demonstrated. Representatives of defence departments from 11 countries have expressed the desire to visit expositions of the exhibitions.
The feature of this year is the significant growth of the level of foreign participants. Thus, the National Pavilion of Pakistan and a wide representation of the state and private structures of the Defence Industrial Complex of Turkey are organized for the first time. The presence of China and the OAU has been enhanced. At the same time, NAFFCO from the OAU has acted not only as a manufacturer of firefighting equipment, but also as an investor in creating production facilities for the production of such products in Chernihiv. The traditionally high representation of Poland has also considerably grown: apart from the military technology developers and special equipment manufacturers, direct participation of the Ministry of National Defence (presentation of the KRAB self-serve howitzers), the State Association of Defence Industries and the Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Polish Embassy has been announced.
The achievements of the Ukrainian Defence Industrial Complex will be presented in the following format: 1 – expositions of the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Education and Security Service; 2 – expositions of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom", NGO "League of Defence Companies of Ukraine", NGO "Association of Manufacturers of Arms and Military Equipment of Ukraine"; 3 – separate stands of public and private firms. In particular, the flagships of the domestic industry: Motor Sich JSC, Yuzhnoye Design Office, Factory "Kuznia on Rybalskomu (Leninska Kuznia)", Arsenal Special Device Production State Enterprise, Plant "Arsenal" State Enterprise and others will be traditionally presented. Domestic expositions should demonstrate their achievements in the implementation of NATO standards in the production of military products and present the high export opportunities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.
The V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of Coordination of Military-Technical and Defence-Industrial Policy in Ukraine: Prospects for the Development of Arms and Military Equipment" will be held as part of the program of exhibitions. (Organizers: Central Research Institute of Arms and Military Equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ministry of Education of Ukraine, IEC LLC), International Scientific and Practical Conference "Prospects for the Development of Military Aviation. Cooperation of aviation industry with foreign companies – the main direction of military-technical cooperation and the basis for the creation of new samples of aviation engineering (State Research Institute of Aviation), 19th All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern state of civil protection of Ukraine and prospects of development", and other important measures.
